In specialty coffee, this note is commonly found in naturally processed or honey-processed coffees from origins like Brazil, Ethiopia, and Colombia, where the extended contact between the coffee cherry and the bean during drying imparts a pronounced, syrupy sweetness. It often appears alongside notes of caramel, toffee, or dried fruit, and is a hallmark of coffees with a full body and low acidity.
