fruit rollup

fruit rollup

Fruit rollup is a playful tasting note in specialty coffee that describes an intensely sweet, concentrated, and candy-like fruit character — think bright red berry, tropical, and citrus notes fused into a chewy, confection-like sweetness. It is most commonly found in naturally processed or anaerobic coffees from origins like Ethiopia, Colombia, and Kenya, where extended fermentation amplifies fruit sugars and esters to produce that signature vivid, almost artificial-fruity quality. The note signals high sweetness and complexity, often accompanied by a syrupy body and lingering fruit candy finish.
