The Mod-Fashioned
You may have noticed that, when we recently spoke to Jersey City’s Modcup Coffee Co. about what exactly makes modern coffee, we had a drink in had.
Well, my friends, that drink was a Mod-Fashioned (a delightful coffee-infused play on the Old Fashioned). Yes, it tastes as good as it looks.
Modcup Coffee Co. was kind enough to share a recipe for this mighty drink. This recipe is best served with Modcup’s Dredger cold brew concentrate. Never fear, West Coasters. We also have a cold brew concentrate recipe.
Mod-Fashioned
The Mod-Fashioned, a coffee infused take on a classic cocktail.
Ingredients
2oz Bourbon/Rye 1oz Dredger or Cold Brew Concentrate 1 dash simple syrup 3 drops orange bitters
Directions
Stir, serve over ice, and garnish with an orange peel.
The Kandace & Ray Twist
As luck would have it, Portland was out of orange bitters when we were gathering ingredients. This inspired a slight deviation with standard bitters and a drop of orange juice.
